Well would you look at that, I seem to be 21 now. I feel I should probably do something about this, but I can't really be bothered. Oh sure, I'll have a party on the weekend, but it's nothing special. It's just your normal get friends over and then proceed to get nicely drunk until vertical and horizontal get confused.

The thing is... I don't see any significance in turning 21. It's not like I live in America and can suddenly legally buy alcohol, that stuffs been easy to get my hands on since I was about 15. Nothing has changed from when I was 20 or 19, and yet people seem to be expecting a lot from this birthday. Do they expect me to suddenly stand up and say "I'm 21 now! I am now an adult!" and then have a briefcase and suit appear in a puff of smoke?. I don't think so... although the idea of carrying a briefcase filled with coke and snacks around does appeal to me.

Ah, who cares. This is just a day like any other day. And the party will be just a party like any other party. That's enough for me.
